Boy George & Culture Club | World Premiere | 2025 Tribeca Festival

A provocative, chaotic, and impossibly fun look at one of music’s most groundbreaking bands, charting their meteoric rise to fame, dramatic split, and remarkable reunion. For the first time, band members Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, and Jon Moss come together to share their complete story, offering candid insights into their creative process, personal relationships, and the cultural impact that defined a generation. Set against the backdrop of 1980s Britain, the doc explores how four young men formed a multi-racial, ethnically diverse, and sexually liberated band with a style and sound that challenged the status quo during the era of New Romantics and Margaret Thatcher’s Britain.

At the 78th British Academy Film Awards in February 2025, director and co-writer Rich Peppiatt received the award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer for his work on the Irish-language film "Kneecap." The movie portrays the rise of the Belfast-based rap trio of the same name and was nominated in six categories, including Best British Film and Best Original Screenplay.

In his acceptance speech, Peppiatt emphasised that "Kneecap" represents more than just a film, stating, "It's about how everyone should have their language respected, their culture respected, and their homeland respected." He dedicated the award to individuals fighting for these rights. The film's success has been viewed as a testament to the resilience and revival of the Irish language and culture.
